Summary

This unique class will run weekly, and we will cycle through different foundational core and pelvic floor principles. She Thrives PT is partnering with Kelsey, physical therapist and owner of Nurture HER Power to lead the classes, and Brenda will be there as well, to answer questions and do the workout with you (it is great for all of us!). The class will be a 40-50 minute workout offered over zoom, and you will have access to the recordings of the prior classes when you login to She Thrives website. Therefore, you can complete the workout at your convenience if you can't make it live, or repeat it multiple times throughout the week. It will help you have a structure and framework for an effective exercise program at home. The unique structure of this class is that you will be taken through all of the important components of a comprehensive movement program with a core/pelvic floor lens: mobility, strength, agility, fascia and tendon health, balance, and breathwork. Also, Kelsey and I know your story and what is going on in your body, and therefore we can build your tolerance and meet your body wherever it is, so do not worry if you are wondering if you are ready for a group class like this! This class is intended to help you continue, and build on, the concepts you have learned in your physical therapy sessions. You have both of us as active resources and you can contact us by phone or email, and my new "coffee chats" (office hours) will be a great way to check in if you have any questions!

Structure

This comprehensive movement program will be structured around the elements - you can think about it this way if it motivates you, or forget it all together if it feels too "woo-woo". We will cycle through 4 focuses and goals, which will give you all the components of a well-rounded program: Water - Fluidity in the core, pelvis and ribcage with the ability to move through different shapes and spirals with connection and control. We will use different breath patterns and stability principles while improving mobility Fire - More traditional strengthening with loads and more complex movements to build heat and strength in the body. Breath and alignment control Earth - Grounded work to notice strength and connection to whatever is on the ground. Improves balance and core stability in more complex and unstable poses to find connection and length and works on the nervous system. Air - A feeling of lightness in the body, working through more dynamic and agility types of motions, plyometric movements, and creating a springy-ness in the core and pelvic floor, and all joints.

Details

The class will be offered at a membership of $50/month (typically 4 classes/month) and the credit card on file will be automatically charged on the first of the month. You can cancel your membership at any time. The same zoom link will be used every week, so you do not have to go on the website and "sign up" for the class each week once you have a membership - you can just click on the link in your confirmation email on Saturday mornings and join us!
